Home Alone

Julia is in the hospital for the night following her procedure today and I'm here alone at the hotel. They were late getting her in for the procedure this morning but she finally got in, it was a success and she was feeling better. She was even hungry afterwards which was a shock (she ate half of a small salad and about half of a small plate of fruit. I'm not sure if the narcotics had just started to wear off 45 mins ago or what, but she went from a 1 pain level to a 7 in about 1 hr. She will be seeing the radiology oncologist in the morning and hopefully we will have a better feel for our game plan. I will update ASAP. Thanks for following our journey.

    LeRoy and I just read the update. We are so glad she feels a little better.
    Peggy,I have always admired and loved you, but I know for sure now...You are a saint.I'm so glad you are with her.No one else could have done what you are doing. I know you have had the most experience dealing with doctors and hospitals,and I know you have the knowledge to ask the right questions,and I know you love her as much as we do, but I truly feel that God made it possible for you to be with Julia. He sent the right person!!!You are my hero!!! Thank-you from the bottom of my heart. I love you both, Jan

    So glad to hear the procedure was a success. You are doing a first rate job keeping us informed Peggy; thank you so much. I was getting ready for bed and remembered I needed to check on Jules. It is 12:30 a.m. here so I'd better sign off while this is still making sense. Sweet dreams...I hope all goes well tomorrow.

    Peggy- Thanks for keeping the good fight! I know it is hard for us, but you are watching her go through all of this...and I know that is tough. We are all grateful for your courage.

    I'm soooo glad to hear you felt a little better.
    Well, let me make you laugh a bit.
    There was a burning building with a redhead, a brunette, and a blonde at the top. The firemen are yelling to the redhead to jump into a blanket and she jumps off the building and right as she was about to safely hit the blanket they moved it and she dies. They yell to the brunette to jump but she says,"No I saw what you did to the redhead"! They shout we don't like redheads! So the brunette jumps and sure enough they move the blanket and she dies. Then they shout to the blonde to jump off into the blanket. But the blonde says,"no I saw what you did to them"! They shout we don't like them! The blonde then says, "I don't trust you guys, put the blanket on the ground and step back!"
